The Muster Point Story
The Muster Point was born from a simple but powerful idea: no veteran should feel alone. Founded by Stu Mendelson and Steve Black, both veterans who experienced the challenges of transitioning to civilian life, the initiative started as a weekly meetup in Stevenage, a place where veterans could come together, share stories, and support one another over a brew. But it quickly became more than that.

Recognising the wider need for connection, support, and guidance, The Muster Point expanded beyond meetups to include a podcast, online resources, and a growing network of veterans and supporters. Whether it's helping someone find the right support, reconnecting with like-minded people, or simply offering a space where veterans feel understood, The Muster Point stands as a community built by veterans, for veterans.
This is more than just a gathering, it’s a mission to ensure no one is left behind.
Our Mission
Together, we ensure no veteran is left behind.
At The Muster Point, our mission is to create a strong, supportive, and lasting community for veterans. We understand the challenges of transitioning from military to civilian life and the sense of isolation that can follow. That’s why we provide a welcoming space where veterans can reconnect, share experiences, and access practical support.
Through our weekly and monthly meetups, peer support, and partnerships with organisations that assist with mental health, employment, and wellbeing, we ensure no veteran is left behind. We believe in the power of camaraderie, shared stories, and a good brew to bring people together.
Our goal is simple: to foster belonging, provide real support, and ensure every veteran knows they are valued and never alone.
